Action
Disassociative Anesthetic.
Indications
Premedication, induction and
maintenance of anesthesia.
For
Caesarean operation. You can
use cocktails with other
drugs as: Acepromazine,
Xylazine,
Diazepan, Midazolam, sodium
Tiopental,
Ether-Gliceril-Guayacolico
and anesthetic
inalatory,
obtaining
in this way a better
anesthetic result for
blockade or decrease of
undesirable colateral
effects
with the use of
ketamine.
Warnings
Not to use in the following
cases: Convulsive animals;
cranial traumatism with
increase of intracraneana
pressure; Glaucoma,
and in those cases where
intraocular pressure
should not
be
increase; Hypertension;
renal inadequacy, especially
in felines; severe hepatic
inadequacy.
Colaterals
Effects
Ketamine produces
hipersialorrea reason why
the use of atropine 1% it is
recommended in the cases
that it is required. Cases
of apnea can be observed. In
the event of a breathing
break, ventilation is
indicated to positive
pressure, avoiding the
analeptics use. During the
recovery
it is recommended to find
a calm
place
with
little light. Pain
can
appear in the place
of the intramuscular
application.
