Copper extended release emulsion for the treatment
Each 100 mL contains:
Excipients c.s.p. 100 mL
(*) Copper etilendinitrilotetraacetato as calcium
Each mL of CU-PRO contains 32 mg of copper assets.
Every 20 grams of etilendinitrilotetraacetato calcium
and copper, with a purity of 98.2%, containing 3.2
g of active copper.
The lack of copper in Argentina (hipocuprosis), is
caused by the ingestion of grasses with high contents
of molybdenum and sulfates, which are caused to interfere
with the absorption and subsequent metabolism of copper.
In exceptional circumstances is caused by deficiency
of copper in the diet.
Shortages of minerals, copper is the most important
because it affects animal production, being detected
in low areas with alkaline soils. CU-PRO is an injection
of high stability and prolonged therapeutic effect.
Its active compound is the calcium and copper etilenedinitrilotetraacetato
into a stable emulsion for prolonged release. It acts
as a reservoir of active copper at the inoculation
site, which is slowly released to maintain normal
values of plasma copper for 3 to 5 months.
COPPER DEFICIENCY: The observation
clinical disorders of the hair can be found; depigmentation
of hair (acromotriquia) starting around the eyes (
"blinkers") becomes bristly, Rough and dull.
Low fertility: Abortions, decreased
birth rate, delayed oestrus, jealousy silents, sterility
Loss of appetite. Lack of development (in
young animals) Decreased milk production.
Nonspecific diarrhea only reversed
With the administration of copper.
Bone problems: Envaramiento of members,
swelling of joints, incoordination of the march, spontaneous
fractures, bone deformities, sifosis (encorvadura
of the backbone).
Anemia: Hypochromic and macrocytic.
Cardiac abnormalities: Cardiac fibrosis,
sudden death in harness.
Increased susceptibility to infectious diseases.
Do not administer in conjunction with other supplements
PRO CU-copper. Avoid highly stressful procedures (castration,
dehorning) within the 48 hours prior to or after copper
supplementation. Do not administer more than 50 mg per
animal, if the health status of the estate is bad. Not
supplying calves younger than 6 months.
As with other injectable treatments with copper, in
some rare cases reactions can be allergic type purely
individual (0.0005%) Given the emergence of such symptoms
is recommended the immediate implementation of an antihistamine
"KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN"
The dosage on copper, whatever the route of administration
may cause fatal poisoning
No parallel implementation medications with drugs whose
compatibility with the administration of the product
is not explicitly within the 48 hours before or after
supplementation with CU-PRO.

Multidose vials for 250
Calves over 200 kg:
up to 200 Kg:
The doses given are preventive (in fields or areas hipocuprogénicas)
or curative. These are indicative and should be adjusted under
the supervision of veterinary medicine. When doses exceeding
4 mL be implemented in two points of inoculation. CU-PRO can
be used in pregnant females. Does not exceed 50 mg copper
/ animal health if the state finances is poor. In calves younger
than 6 months is recommended to make a prior determination
of plasma copper.
Should only be applied subcutaneously. The
application site is the hollow behind the palette. There
is a small lump at the point of inoculation, which disappears
in 2-3 weeks (or earlier).
Every 3-4 months (3-4 applications per year. Lacks even a mild
treatment every 6 months.
